The Lambuth Eagles won two- of - three doubles matches against Itawamba but won only  two of seven single matches Wednesday afternoon and fell 4-5 in fall tennis action  on the campus of Lambuth.
 
Itawamba is ranked at the junior college level.
 
Coach James Parker commented on the match. " We played well at times. I'm excited about our season and how good we can and will be is going to depend on how hard we work."
