Jacks Peel is entering his first season as head coach for the Lady Eagles.
Peel was the Lyon College Lady Pipers' coach this past season. It was the inaugural season for the Lady Pipers'.
Peel was an assistant baseball coach at the University of Memphis for three seasons.
Before
his coaching career, Peel spent six years as a professional baseball
player in the Chicago White Sox and Texas Rangers organizations.
Peel is a graduate of the University of Memphis.
Athletics
Director, Ken Brown commented on the hiring. "We are very pleased
Jack has accepted the position. He started the program at Lyon
College from the ground up and did a fantastic job. He is a man of
great character and integrity."
Coach Peel commented on the
opportunity, " I am extremely excited to come to Lambuth. I am looking
forward to the challenge. This is a great University and I am looking
forward to moving to Jackson." Peel added, " There are some fine high
school programs in this area and I look forward to meeting the coaches
and players and getting started."
Bubbles Lee - Assistant Coach
Bubbles Lee is entering her first season as the Assistant coach with the Lady Eagles.
She was one of the more popular student-athletes ever at Lambuth
University. She played volleyball and softball and received
All-Conference and All-Region honors in both sports. She was named
Conference Player of the Year in softball in 2005.
Now, she is
the Lambuth Volleyball Head Coach. Valena Lee, better known as Bubbles
will be in first year as head coach. Lee served as assistant volleyball
coach at Lambuth for two years.
