Leger graduated from Faith Christian HS in 2004, and made her way to Tennessee. For her, it was one of the more difficult and challenging, yet most rewarding decisions she has ever made. She fell in love with the game of volleyball when she began playing in third grade, and has taken advantage of every opportunity to play since then. She knew from a very young age that she wanted to play collegiately. Although she is thousands of miles away from home, she says she has enjoyed every minute at Lambuth University.

 

She started her Freshman year, 2004, as a middle hitter for Lambuth. However, she took a medical red shirt her Sophomore year, 2005, after breaking her leg in the fifth game of the season vs. Christian Brothers University in Memphis. She came back in 2006 ready to play, and started as an Outside hitter. Leger has the ability to play almost any position on the court, with the exception of setter.

 

Leger says: "I am excited to see what this new year will bring! Go LU Volleyball! I plan to graduate college in December 2008, after I play my last year of eligibility at Lambuth.After graduation, I plan on attending graduate school and eventually earning my Doctorate in marriage and family counseling. I would also love to coach at the collegiate level, and greatly desire to be a mom and a homemaker someday!

 

I am very loyal, fun loving, and sociable, yet also very hardheaded and unfortunately, I am quite the procrastinator! I like to stay busy, yet tend to overbook myself, and rarely have spare time.My favorite color is Purple, and my favorite TV show is Friends. I think everyone has a soul mate. I love being around people who make me laugh, and I love sleeping in.I hate squash and Avocado, but I love Mexican food, Lemon Heads and ranch dressing. However my favorite food is ice cream. My room is usually messy. I absolutely hate spiders, but I think locusts are by far the creepiest bugs that God created. I love to lie on the beach and I love to snow ski. I will try almost anything once. I love to compete, though I am probably the most competitive person you will ever meet."

 

Leger is the daughter of Andrew and Mary Leger.
