In High school, I was the youngest co-captain of my cheerleading squad, becoming captain my junior year of high school. I was also a member of my school newspaper and received acclaim by the Star Tribune for an article I wrote about inner-racial segregation in my High School. I also have competed nationally through an organization called Planet Spirit. We have competed in the Universal Cheerleading Association Nationals and my greatest accomplishment was finishing 2^nd at the UCA nationals which was held in Orlando, FL. 

 

My future goals are to own a cheerleading gym, coach cheerleading and to become a school counselor. I feel that through coaching and becoming a counselor, I could help advocate for a safer community by reaching children and directing them to make the right decisions that could benefit their lives.
