Kimberly Bridgman, a junior for Fairview, TN, has attempted to play all sports, but I did not find her niche in swimming until five years ago. She started swimming for a summer league, the Fairview Sharks then the following fall, her high school started a swim team. She became the captain the next year. Thankfully, according to Bridgman, Lambuth offered her a scholarship to swim.
Bridgman has come a long way since she first started swimming. Last year, she started competing in the 500 freestyle; freestyle is her specialty. She says she despises backstroke, and would rather swim butterfly any day over backstrok, yet she says she does love to swim.
Bridgman says: "I want to be involved in swimming for as long as possible. I was able to be a part of my first team, the Sharks, this past summer as the Assistance Coach. I enjoyed working with the children, and I learned a lot from it. I plan on working hard this year, and I want to drop time on my 500 free.
There are a few other things/people that I love besides swimming. I love the Lord most of all. Studying the word and learning more about Him is one of my favorite things to do. Of course, I love my family. They are always there for me. My sister is awesome and crazy. (She is going to be a movie director one day). I have made some incredible friendships at Lambuth, I love goofing off with friends. I should probably go into a profession of goofing off; I seem to do it quite well. However, the profession I have chosen is teaching. Children are what it is all about. I also love my man. We have been friends since elementary school, but did not start dating until last year. I could go on about what I love, but then I would be rambling. "
Bridgman is the daughter of Eddie and Jor Bridgman, of Fairview, TN
