Ashlee David, a freshman Biology Major, started swimming at about age seven out of an act of desperation. She was spending the summer with her Aunt Gayla in Michigan who had no idea what to do with "this little kid all day" while she was working. So she decided to put her on the local swim team. David has competed ever since and swims every stroke including IM’s but enjoys the breaststroke the most.

 

David’s swimming led her to discover the sport of triathlon which she also has competed in for the last 11 years and has been ranked as high as 8^th in the nation. She is taking time off from triathlons to focus on swimming with the hopes of making the NAIA championships this year.

 

David is pursuing a degree in Biology. She enjoys Lambuth University and is glad she decided to stay closer to home. She is a very family oriented person and has a little nephew who is only 10 months old whom she adores. She has enjoyed meeting lots of new people at Lambuth and is outgoing and adventurous. Something about Ashlee David that most people don’t know until they have hung around her a lot is that she is a BIG eater. She loves food and could probably put some of the football players to shame in an eating contest!

 

She loves all types of music, going to the theatre, movies, and just hanging out. Her favorite show of all time is Cirque de Soleil; her favorite opera is The Phantom of the Opera and her favorite food is Italian.
