Carolina Niembro, a freshman Business Administration major, was born and raised in Queretaro, Mexico and graduated from Instituto Alpes Queretaro ’07. She is the daughter of Myriam and Luis Miguel, and has two younger brothers. All of her family resides in Mexico.

 

A couple of years ago women’s soccer was not as popular as it today; therefore Niembro started playing soccer with boys, until her school started a girls soccer team. She played Varsity soccer at Alpes Queretaro for four years. She was named captain of her high school team in her junior and again in her senior year. During her senior year Niembro was the top scorer with 7 goals in four games at a Mexican National Private School’s Tournament and she received an award as the Most Valuable Player.
