Derrick Brooks spent last season at Hamilton College in Lincoln, NE.   He was a vital member of a team that went 30-4, including a trip to the NJCAA DII National Tournament.  Derrick will be entering his junior year at Lambuth.  He played his high school basketball at Frederick Douglass High School, MD.  During his junior year, Frederick Douglass won the Maryland State Championship going 28-0.  Derrick is the son of Teresa Speights and Wayne Brooks.

Brooks says, “I felt Coach Burton and the Lambuth University system was best for my style of play.  My hero is my sister Trina who has given me new life.”
