Rachel Ann Peery was born in Columbia, Tennessee, and lived there for eighteen years. Her dad, Terry, is a well known police officer and Cumberland Presbyterian minister in the town, and her mom, Wanda, is a nursing supervisor at the local hospital. She has one little brother, Daniel, who sixteen years old and one of her best friends, and a dog named Toby who is like part of the family.

Peery says: "I joined the Lady Eagles team when I signed in January of 2007. I was one year off from getting that National Championship, but I plan on working as hard as I can with the rest of the team to get my own ring and another NAIA National Championship."
