She is originally from Tucson, Arizona and lived there for the first eighteen years of her life. When she was younger Snodgrass attended a private Catholic school before going into the public school system. She says her family is her everything and they are the people who got her here today. "Without them," she says, "I wouldn’t be the person I am today and I am very proud of who I came to be."

Snodgrass started playing basketball when she was four years old with her dad in the front yard. He dad sparked her interest in this game and his love of the game become her love of the game.

Last year she moved to Phoenix to attend a junior college and continue her basketball career. This experience taught her a lot about the game and helped her become independent having to move away from her family. While at Glendale Community College she averaged 11.2 points per game and finished 3rd in the ACCAC in assists and posted a 2 to 1 assist to turnover ratio as a freshman. Reints says of Snodgrass, “It is exciting to bring in a player of Katherine’s caliber with three of eligibility remaining. She will compete for the starting point guard position immediately because she is a smart kid and knows how two orchestrate an offense. Her personality is a perfect fit for our program and institution."

Snodgrass says: "The move to Tennessee was hard because of the distance from my family but it has been my dream to play basketball in college and I had to follow that dream. When I am not playing basketball, I love to hang out with my friends and just relax or go to parties or movies. My friends mean a lot to me and like my family they have helped me through a lot. I hope to get my degree in biology in the near future while playing basketball and continue on with the next chapter of my life."
