Sophomore Kristin Brison was born in Nashville, but raised in a small town called Fairview, TN. She has lived in the same house her whole life with both of her parents Mark and Gwen, younger brother Dakota, and older brother Steven, who is now married to her sister-in-law Amy.

Brison went to Fairview Elementary school and played basketball and softball. Once she got into middle school, she started playing AAU basketball, which forced her to give up softball. However, she started running cross country in the seventh grade, and once in high school, she ran track as well. In the spring of 2006, Brison signed with Lambuth University and graduated the following May from Fairview High School as one of the top ten students of her class. She plans to graduate with a HHP major and attend graduate school for a physical therapy degree.

Brison says: "Living out in the country, we learned to entertain ourselves. We rode four wheelers and go-carts, played war in the woods, swam in the lake behind our house, and hit baseballs with my dad. We are really big into family, so we have get-togethers quite often every year, including our week long camping trip to Bruton’s Branch. We attend Westview United Methodist Church, where in my younger days, I was very involved with my youth group."
