Matt is a returning junior at Lambuth University. He is majoring in Physical Education: K-12 and minoring in English to be a high school teacher and coach. He has been at Lambuth all three years as a pitcher.

 

Matt is from Jackson, TN where he played and started all four years at South Side High School and received numerous honors in district, region, and state, including two All-State selections his junior and senior year. Matt has seen a considerable amount of playing time in his two years as an Eagle. He has appeared in over fifty games and thrown over one hundred innings out of the bullpen as a reliever and closer. Last year he led the Eagles with a perfect fielding percentage, pickoffs, and saves. He is looking forward to the upcoming season as the Eagles look to be very competitive in and out of Conference play.
