Jason Anderegg - Assistant Coach

Jason Anderegg came to Lambuth as the Assistant Baseball Coach in 2006 under Former Head Baseball Coach John Massey.

Jason serves as the pitching coach and is the designated recruiting coordinator and is also charged with all other daily operations of the baseball program. Jason came to Lambuth from Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, Iowa. As an assistant at Iowa Central Jason was in charge of the pitching staff and assisted in recruiting, field maintenance and academic supervision.

In the four years that Jason was an assistant at ICCC, the team won four regional titles, three district titles, and participated in the JUCO Division II World Series three times. In the three years ICCC placed 2nd, 4th and 7th. All four years the Tritons were ranked in the top ten. During his stint at Iowa Central 17 players signed Division I scholarships to elite schools such as Texas A&M, Nebraska and Minnesota and four players were named All-Americans. Several other players signed with Division II, III and NAIA schools. Three players were taken in the Major League draft, while three former players are currently playing professional baseball.

Before Iowa Central, Jason spent one year coaching at his former high school, Newman Catholic High School. The team finished the 1998 season with a State Championship, with Jason working with the pitchers and defense.

Jason also has served as the pitching coach for the Twitty City Knights for the past 3 years. The high school select team has pitchers that have signed at Vanderbilt, Lipscomb, Mississippi State and in the 2006 Major League draft had two pitchers drafted. Jason has been a part of the Knights team that has participated in many World Series Tournaments, which includes a Sandlott World Series World Championship in the summer of 2007.

Jason played at Iowa Central in 1998 & 1999. Both seasons he was selected to the All-Region team. Jason still holds the record for winning percentage in a season going 8-0 for the Tritons his sophomore season. Jason then transferred to Belmont University where he graduated with a degree in Exercise Science, while being a mainstay in the Bruin pitching staff.

Following his senior season at Belmont, Jason was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 19th round of the 2001 Major League Draft. After playing a season of Class A ball, Anderegg was released. He then played 2 seasons of Independent baseball with the Gateway Grizzlies out of St. Louis, Missouri in the Frontier League. Professional baseball allowed Jason to work with many established pitching coaches such as Danny Cox, Rick Sutcliffe and Tom Brown.

Jason is the son of Dan and Linda Anderegg, born and raised in Mason City, Iowa. Jason attended high school at Newman Catholic High School where he lettered in Football, Hockey and Baseball.
