Maurice is a junior transferring from Dyersburg State. He attended high school at Jackson North Side. He was All-District and All-Region with the Indians. He was All-Western Division in the T.J.C.C.C A.A.  and ranked # 1 in 3-point shooting in the T.J.C.C.A.A.

He grew up in Jackson after moving from Ripley, TN. He enjoys going to church, playing basketball and hanging out with his friends

He is the son of Maurice Taylor Sr. and Rachelle Taylor of Jackson.
